Becoming increasingly common is the "hybrid" organization. A hybrid organization is an organization that has a charitable arm and a for profit arm. Although these are legally two (2) distinct entities, the two entities generally share a common vision and/or management or some overlapping theme. This is a seminar to understand the legalities in forming and maintaining these unique organizations.
This seminar stands to benefit individuals who are staff members of a nonprofit organization such as an executive director, manager, officer, director or founder of a nonprofit organization. Participants are generally those who are looking to learn about this new area or a refresher course. We are keenly interested in helping organizations which are educational, assist youth or the elderly, promote health care and/or social services. The seminar will help participants define and/or refine their objectives. We will help participants reach achievable benchmarks to meet their ultimate goals of profitability and sustainability. We will teach the participants about setting realistic goals such as fundraising goals, board goals, etc. There will be emphasis of relating the law to the practical and measurable goals of the nonprofit.
